Season of Fog

debut novel coming in
October 2026

Grief hangs heavy over the town of Lost Lake. Emily Chase returns home to the fog shrouded Adirondack Mountains for her father’s funeral. A former Olympics Equestrian hopeful who gave up competing to pursue a career in academia, Emily is now lost in a haze of depression and alcohol-fueled mourning.

Grieving alongside her is Greg Turner, a friend and colleague of Emily’s father and the newly appointed interim CEO of Chase Lumber Mill. While he has known Emily for years, he now faces a new and dangerous attraction building within him.

As Emily and Turner face the unexpected change in their relationship, their grief-driven actions threaten partnerships and friendships, the operations of the Chase family lumber mill, and could ultimately destroy the happiness of those closest to them.

Emily has choices to make – give in to the temptation and promises that Turner offers, return to her studies in London, or assume the responsibilities of her family’s business –when all she wants to do is run away or stay in bed.

Meanwhile, Turner struggles to keep his feelings in check before Emily breaks his heart.

“Deeply moving, Season of Fog is definitely not to be missed, a debut by a gifted new voice in women's fiction!”
